Dual Concentric switching

We can install a 'Dual Concentric' switch to allow independant control of left and right level. This allows the channels to be set to different volumes. The knob is designed so that the channels can also be raised or lowered together.

Add custom Brass Panels to increase weight and mass

Beautiful Brass Plates can be fitted to the top of your preamplifier and engraved with your name. These plates, together with a rubber gasket and a steel plate underneath the lid add weight and mass to the top of the preamplifier and this damping helps prevent vibrations reaching the transformers.

Home Theatre Bypass/ Pass through

We can add HT pass-through to any input on our preamplifiers. This feature allow a dedicated two channel system to function alongside your home theatre system.

For example, your two channel system's amplifiers and loudspeakers can be used for the front channels of the HT system. A switch can be used to disable this function so your DVD or other HT source can also function as your two channel source.

Alternative Input and Output Configurations

Our preamplifiers feature four RCA unbalanced and two XLR inputs plus one or two XLR outputs and one or two RCA outputs (depending on the model) as standard but any combination is possible.

This Classic Silver Preamplifier has three unbalanced RCA inputs, two balanced XLR inputs, two balanced XLR outputs and one RCA unbalanced output.

Tape Outputs and Tape Monitor Loops

We can fit source-direct transformer isolated Tape outputs, Tape Monitor inputs, a full Tape Loop or any combination of the above.

This is the perfect feature to help transfer your recordings from one format to another.

Extra Outputs with Independent Level Controls

This Preamplifier was modified because the owner needed an extra output with it's own level control for 'blending' two sets of speakers together.

The extra level control was fitted to the rear panel on this occasion. It is used to set the level of attenuation of the additional outputs and the front panel level control becomes a 'master'. The toggle switch above this control is a 'bypass' to enable the preamplifier to operate as normal.

Modified Transformer Taps/ Volume Levels

Because every system and every listening room is dfferernt, sometimes the range of level settings need adjustment. We can customise the range and choices of transformer taps to suit you.

The example here was designed for a customer who needed much lower levels for quiet, late night listening

Independent Left & Right Volume Controls

This Classic Silver Preamplifier was made for a customer who needed independent volume controls for the left and right hand channels. This allows each channel to be set at a different level to tailor the sound to the room (his room was not symmetrical).
